Week 1
Welcome PAP English 2 students. This year will be filled with many
challenges but will also bring great success. This class is designed
to make you think outside of the box as well as to put your mind to the
test in every way possible. While the first day, and even the first
week, can be overwhelming, have no fear! We are in this together and I
have no doubt that all of you will complete this course with flying
colors.
In addition to your in-class work and homework, you will complete a response entry that will be due every Sunday night by 12 a.m. I will send out a reminder using the Remind App every week in order to ensure that you don't forget to complete your post! Remember, we are in this together. Take a deep breath and believe in yourself!

Remember, we are in this together. Take a deep breath and believe in yourself!
In order to receive full credit for your post you will:
- Post an entry (250 words min) in response to my initial blog post.
- Respond to another classmate (100 word min) either agreeing or disagreeing with their take on the post. Give some insightful feedback.
Each week I will post an entry that either has something to
do with what we are discussing in class, or is designed to make you
think. Each entry will have specific guidelines on what you must write
about in your entry. Please post and either sign your first and last
name, or log into your gmail account to post so that I know to give you
full credit.
Things to keep in mind
- All posts must be school appropriate and contain professional language.
- Response posts to other peers should not be discriminating, hateful, or disrespectful in any way. It is okay to disagree with someone's ideas or thoughts but it is never okay to bash someone over it.
- All posts must be made by Sunday night at 12 a.m. in order to receive full credit.
- Your response post must be insightful and give good feedback. You will not receive credit if all you write is "good job, I agree with you".
- Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the year via the Remind app or emailing me at Jasmyn.smith@grapecreekisd.net
This weeks blog post, due Sunday, September 3rd, is as follows:
Write
a 250 word entry describing to me what you hope to learn in this class.
What do you specifically want to improve on? (ex: Reading or writing
skills? MLA format? Improve your vocabulary?) What, if anything, makes
you nervous or worried about taking this course? Anything that you are
excited about in this upcoming semester? (School related but not limited
to English)
